Helen was born in Lancaster in 1976 Lancaster, and attained a Foundation in Art and Design at Cumbria Institute of the Arts, Carlisle in 1995.

She then studied in Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, graduating with a BA (Hons) Fine Art, Drawing and Painting in 1998, and a Master of Fine Art in 2002.

Helen’s paintings are in essence abstractions of the Scottish landscape in which she finds herself immersed. She reacts to the changing weather conditions and the immensity of nature.
