Born in Madrid, 1967, Spanish painter Jose Manuel Arevalo studied at the Manuel Arjona studio and at the Fine Arts Faculty of the Universidad Complutense Madrid. His work is noted for imaginative composition and great use of colour.
He has exhibited widely in Spain and in the USA, particularly in California.
In 2011, he won the Spanish National Painting Prize in Rivas, and in 2018 he was awarded second prize in the BBVA National Painting Contest.
