Julius Nord is a young Swedish artist, based in Linköping. He began painting as a street artist; a technique he still uses in his work today, combining spray with acrylics.

Julius compares and explores dissimilarities in daily objects and their forms. His work often features a repetitive behaviour that's found in graffiti, enabling him to place a bold emphasis on what is essential and deselect the unnecessary.

Everyday monotony is used in new contexts and his paintings often stimulate an awareness of group identity and self-assurance. Julius navigates a visual language that bridges the figurative and the abstract.

He has exhibited work all around Sweden; in group and solo shows, juried exhibitions and public painting.
