Chris was born in London and studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in the early ‘80s under Euan Uglow, Patrick George, Geoffrey Camp, and Philip Sutton.
He is a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and exhibits at the ROI December show at the Mall Galleries in London.

His paintings have been exhibited and sold in prestigious galleries around the UK, including the Royal Academy Summer Show. For several years from 2004 his work was published by DeMontfort Fine Art in limited edition prints for the UK and America.
A skilled portraitist, a notable commission is a portrait of Sir William Hawthorne, the former Master of Churchill College Cambridge who, with Sir Frank Whittle, worked on the development of the jet engine.
