Jane Kite graduated from Bath Academy of Art in 1979.

An accomplished painter, she has exhibited in the RWA, in Bristol, but she is most well-known for her work in film and TV, where she is a very respected prop and costume designer, in particular associated with Aardman and their Wallace and Gromit series.

She has also lectured at the University of the West of England.

More recently she has been working in ceramics, with immediate success. Her work is often inspired by traditional African designs, yet retains a very contemporary feel.
