Born in 1995, Valeria started her career at an early age; her first exhibition took place when she was just 12 years old in her hometown, Chisinau, Moldova, generating endless appreciation for her abstract work and her sense of colour.

Multiple museums from Eastern Europe have eagerly collected her works from the very beginning. Valeria's paintings can be found in the public collections of the Museum of History and Archaeology in Moldova, the Museum of Visual Art in Galati, Romania, the Museum of Western and Eastern Art in Odessa, Ukraine, the Museum of the Village, Bucharest, Romania, and the Folk Museum, the Palace of Parliament, Bucharest, Romania.

Valeria was the youngest ever artist to exhibit at Venice Biennale in 2011, aged 15, and her participation marked Moldova's debut on the international art stage. Her focus has evolved over time from abstract to more figurative works. She has a passion for painting portraits and exploring aspects of identity. Valeria’s art evokes emotion; she explores the way in which colour and form connects to the viewer and creates sentiment.

Valeria moved to the UK when she was 17, where she studied Art History at the University of St. Andrews. After graduation, she lived in Oslo, Norway, for two years, and she recently moved to Washington, DC.
